JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Our next round of downpours might return early Tuesday morning for areas along and north of I-20. While severe storms are not expected, some gusty winds are likely as storms pass through. Where you miss the rain, temperatures will top out around 90 both today and tomorrow. Rain is more likely from the metro southward in the afternoon. Rain coverage is expected to begin decreasing by mid-week, with some of us staying dry into the weekend.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -After this evening’s downpours simmer down, patchy fog is likely overnight and by morning. It’s rinse and repeat for the next couple of days. While the severe threat will not be a concern, we will see widespread rain and thunderstorms again by tomorrow morning through early afternoon. It will be the same again on Saturday. The good news is that if these systems move in as expected, the evening and overnights will be dry, allowing for some outdoor activities.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Patchy fog is possible overnight and in the morning, but another mostly sunny and muggy day is heading our way for Wednesday. While a few showers are possible, higher chances for rain exist everyday for the rest of the week into this weekend. Thursday is when we will see more widespread rain across the area. Highs will still climb to the upper 80s and it will feel hotter while you are missing out on the rain.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Heat stress will become a concern again Saturday with heat indices as high as 105 degrees across the area. Most of us will stay dry, which means there will be little to no relief from said conditions. By Saturday night into Sunday morning, conditions will be changing. A cluster of storms will push into the area, with some storms being severe. At this time, all modes of severe weather will be possible, but damaging winds will be the primary threat.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Hot and muggy days continue with a few scattered showers in the forecast Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will be in the low 90s across the area, but feel more like the triple digits. While spotty showers will continue tomorrow and Saturday afternoon, more disruptive weather is expected by Saturday night and Sunday. Another pattern where clusters of thunderstorms push in is expected to develop, and some of those storms will potentially be severe with damaging wind gusts.

You know those annoying clods who say things like, 'Part of my childhood just died'? Are there any one-day membership forms knocking around?

Disturbing thing about that Kanye tweet is I originally read it as 'Execs can be mad...' and thought it was a comment on his label.

YOU'RE NEVER BORED is a particularly risky first line from Lefsetz this morning.
