JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A couple of weather systems will rotate around each other through this weekend and cause some showers from time to time. Severe storms are unlikely, but thunderstorms with hail and wind are possible, embedded in areas of regular rain showers. Temperatures will be cooler as a result. Friday: The Friday morning commute stays dry but scattered showers and a few thunderstorms return by the afternoon. Rain coverage appears to be greater along and south of the I-20 corridor.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Heavy rain is on the way along with a few strong to severe storms. While the potential for flash flooding is the main reason we have issued a First Alert Weather Day, there is also a chance that some places see a strong to severe storm (especially south of I-20). All modes of severe weather will be possible. Timing-wise, the most widespread and heavy rain will be from about 6 PM to midnight.

Thursday afternoon will see another round of stormy weather, this time with the potential for some storms to become severe. Any storms that reach severe limits could contain damaging wind gusts or hail. Other severe threats are nearly zero for this system.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The rain tapers off overnight but a stray shower can’t be ruled out early Friday morning. Friday: Off and on showers stick around for the end of the week and will last through Friday night. Rain chances will drop late Friday and into the beginning of the weekend as temperatures begin warming up. Extended forecast: A mixture of sun and clouds will be the story heading into the weekend.

You know those annoying clods who say things like, 'Part of my childhood just died'? Are there any one-day membership forms knocking around?

Disturbing thing about that Kanye tweet is I originally read it as 'Execs can be mad...' and thought it was a comment on his label.

YOU'RE NEVER BORED is a particularly risky first line from Lefsetz this morning.
