    STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 1 OF QUALIFYINGLAS VEGAS – Mexico’s Carlos Denot made the most of his first appearance at the United States Bowling Congress Super Senior Classic Thursday by averaging 237.67 for his six games to take the early lead at Sam’s Town Bowling Center. Denot, 60, totaled 1,426 pins in Round 1 and has an eight-pin lead over two-time Super Senior Classic champion Ron Mohr of Las Vegas. Bowling on A Squad, Denot didn’t have a game below 217 and had a high game of 253.

    GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Tuesday night at Preble HS, the De Pere boys and Pulaski girls won WIAA Track & Field Regional crowns in Division 1. De Pere throw Connor Fontaine won both the shot put and discus, while Redbirds distance runner Grady Lenn won both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Ashwaubenon’s Thea Kral double-dipped with wins in the shot put and discus herself. The homestanding Hornets 4x800 relay teams both won with ease, and both have ranked in the top 4 in the state this season.
