Boston-based State Street Global Advisors, the asset management arm of State Street Corp., has launched target date funds that will include exposure to private markets. The State Street Target Retirement IndexPlus Strategy will include a series of funds with 10% exposures to a blend of private assets managed by alternative asset management giant Apollo. The funds, which are structured as CITs, include exposure to public markets through index strategies managed by State Street.

XA Investments, a specialist in tracking closed-end interval and tender offer funds, has launched the XAI Interval Fund Index (INTVL) to track the total returns of a basket of 77 existing funds with a combined $103 billion in total net assets. It has a January 2023 base date with two years of historical performance. The index includes individual interval and tender offer funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 with over $100 million in net assets.

Boston-based HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist, is the latest asset manager to launch a U.S. evergreen fund. The HarbourVest Private Investment Fund will provide a single point of entry to HarbourVest’s multi-manager, direct private equity platform.
