According to a report from Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios has won the bidding war to make the Split Fiction movie adaptation that is set to star Sydney Sweeney and be directed by Wicked's Jon M. Chu. Deadline reports that the deal with Amazon MGM Studios is currently being finalized, and that the whole deal is coming together for a little over $2 million USD.

IO Interactive has officially announced that its James Bond-based game, Project 007, is officially titled 007 First Light and that a full game reveal will be coming later this week. Project 007 was first announced back in 2020, and since then, we've all been eagerly waiting to hear more about the game that everyone seems to agree will be something special, considering that IO Interactive is the perfect studio to make a James Bond game.

Wizards of the Coast has just signed a publishing deal with Giant Skull, a new game studio founded last March by former God of War III and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game director, Stig Asmussen. As reported by GamesBeat, Wizards of the Coast will publish the Unreal Engine 5-based triple-A action-adventure game that Giant Skull had already been developing, which is now due to be set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons.

Smite 2 developer Hi-Rez Studios has confirmed its third layoff within the last year, though these cuts are different than the layoffs the studio had earlier this year in February and in October 2024. Instead of members of the development team being the ones losing their jobs, it's a few members of the studio's executive leadership, including now-former studio president, Stewart Chisam.
