Larian Studios has announced the release of the final major patch for Baldur’s Gate III, and it’s a whopper, bringing not only a list of major improvements and fixes, but also new features. These include Cross-Play, Photo Mode, and 12 new subclasses. You can read the full list of Baldur’s Gate III Update 8 patch notes below. Baldur’s Gate III was released for the PS5 in September 2023, and the game has reportedly sold 15 million copies across all formats.

The premiere episode of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 has recorded 5.3 million viewers following its debut in the US on Sunday night, eclipsing the Season 1 premiere by 13%. As reported by Variety, The Last of Us Season 2’s debut episode saw 5.3 million “same-day cross-platform viewers,” while the premiere for Season 1 backing 2023 hit 4.7 million. Dragon Age: Origins lead writer David Gaider has revealed in a post on BlueSky that there was friction between the Dragon Age and Mass Effect teams at BioWare, insisting they didn’t get on. You see, the thing you need to know about BioWare is that for a long time it was basically two teams under one roof: the Dragon Age team and the Mass Effect team. Run differently, very different cultures, may as well have been two separate studios. And they didn’t get along.

Mat Piscatella of US analyst firm Circana has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows currently ranks as the second-best selling game in the US for 2025, with only Monster Hunter Wilds performing better. Here’s a fun one… Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been the best-selling video game in the US for each of its first 3 weeks in market, according to Circana’s Retail Tracking Service (dollar sales, latest data through April 5th). Currently ranks #2 year-to-date trailing only Monster Hunter: Wilds.

Jeff Grubb has claimed on GameBreaking News that The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remake, which has still yet to be officially announced, will shadow drop the week of April 21, 2025. So basically, the last week of this month, next week, essentially. It should shadow drop then. I’ve gotten separate confirmation that that’s going to be the case. So, shadow drop the last week of the month.
