Danone cuts ribbon on $65 million manufacturing addition in Northwest Jacksonville

Food and beverage company Danone U.S. announced the opening June 17 of a new $65 million production line at its manufacturing plant in Northwest Jacksonville. The facility is at 2198 W. Beaver St. and has been in operation since 1948. Danone celebrated the opening with a ribbon-cutting.
Otto Aviation announces plans to build jet in Jacksonville

Texas-based Otto Aviation announced June 16 it will establish a manufacturing and production facility to build its Phantom 3500 corporate jet at Cecil Airport in West Jacksonville. The company’s headquarters will also relocate to Jacksonville. Otto had short-listed Jacksonville as its production site among an undisclosed number of locations.
Abel Harding joins Pinnacle Financial Partners

Pinnacle Financial Partners added five leadership positions to it Riverside office in Jacksonville, including Abel Harding, a Jacksonville financial services veteran and civic leader. Most recently, Harding was executive vice president and market president for First Horizon Bank. He left First Horizon in late May for a then-undisclosed opportunity. In a June 9 news release, Pinnacle said the new positions reflect its accelerating expansion in the region.
Sulzbacher to begin construction on Phase 1 of Sulzbacher Enterprise Village

Sulzbacher will begin construction on Phase 1 of Sulzbacher Enterprise Village after closing on financing of the $37 million project, the nonprofit homeless services provider announced June 5. Phase 1 will include 100 affordable studio and one-bedroom workforce housing apartments serving homeless men. The 16.8-acre Sulzbacher Enterprise Village site is at 4785 Walgreen Road, west of Interstate 95 and east of Brentwood Golf Course.
Pinnacle Financial Partners expands office in Ponte Vedra Beach

Pinnacle Financial Partners announced May 13 it expanded its Ponte Vedra Beach office into a full-service location. The space at 100 Corridor Road has been home to Horizon Group at Pinnacle Asset Management since May 2024, the Nashville, Tennessee-based bank said in a news release. Pinnacle entered the Northeast Florida market in 2024 and opened a Jacksonville headquarters office in the Downtown Brooklyn area at 501 Riverside Ave., on the sixth floor.
Ameris Bank names Luciano ‘Lou’ Noir-Jones as Jacksonville market president

He is responsible for leading the bank’s Commercial Banking team’s efforts to further grow the Jacksonville market, according to a news release. He previously served as the North Florida area executive for more than three years.

TPC Sawgrass announced April 15 it named Matt Borocz as general manager. Borocz served as acting general manager since January and was assistant general manager for 11 years. He succeeds Derek Sprague, who was named Chief Executive Officer of the PGA of America in December after seven years at TPC Sawgrass, according to a news release. TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach is home to the PGA Tour headquarters and hosts The Players Championship in March.
Cummer Museum director and CEO Andrea Barnwell Brownlee retiring

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens announced April 8 that director and CEO Andrea Barnwell Brownlee will retire May 1. Brownlee took the position as George W. and Kathleen I. Gibbs Director and CEO in December 2020. Kimberly Noble, the museum’s chief financial officer, will serve as interim director and CEO while a national search is conducted for a permanent successor, according to a news release.
