The monument/pedestal dedicated to Robert E. Lee, who was stripped of his U.S. citizenship after the Civil War, was removed from downtown Fort Myers. Buh-bye. Sayanora. See ya later. Not sure by whom, but it happened sometime after dark last night/early this morning.
