In the interim, we have the 2025 Rockwell Summer Festival — 52 days. The Bristol Farmer’s Market is here weekly through October, with that one additional market day in November. House Speaker Matt Ritter, D-Hartford, said Wednesday that legislators, due to a lack of time, couldn’t shrink an approved $375 million hospital tax hike down to $285 million before the General Assembly’s mandatory adjournment deadline at midnight.

A Bristol man was charged with threatening and breach of peace on Tuesday afternoon after Bristol Hospital employees expressed concern about his social media posts, according to a release from the Bristol Police Dept. Richard Stark, 58, was located and arrested around 5 p.m. An arrest warrant had been signed with a court-set cash/surety bond, according to the release. Stark was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Wednesday, June 25.
