In 2024, a growing number of LION members turned to events as a strategy to strengthen community connections, amplify marginalized voices, and generate revenue. Of our 585 members, 45% — or 264 organizations — now offer events as part of their product lineup. However, only 12.8% of those, or 33 organizations, are currently seeing direct revenue from their efforts. Events are rarely a stand-alone revenue source. Instead, they often complement a range of other streams.
