    For hundreds who showed up to the 4th of July program at Moore Middle School, visitors were treated to band performances, vintage airplane flyovers and drop-ins from skydivers trailing the American flag. Hundreds more set up in lawn chairs in surrounding neighborhoods to take advantage of a free viewing of the traditional fireworks display.

    The mid-1980s may have been the heyday of the past century for Redlands High School’s Terrier Marching Band program, which flourished competitively under the direction of Patrick Winters. Winters ran the band program from 1977 to 1986, and despite its tiny size — Redlands was far outnumbered by other regional bands that had up to 300 members — RHS was mighty when it came to musical prowess.

    The Redlands Community News, founded by newspaper owner and community vounteer Jerry Bean in April, 2019, has been acquired by Times Media Group of Tempe, Arizona. The deal included four other weekly community newspapers and one semi-monthly publication owned by Bean’s company, Century Group Media. It became effective June 30.

It was a privilege to join Risco Inc. and Precision Material Handling at the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards tonight. Honorees seemed to thank "God" and "Jesus." How come no one ever thanks...Buddha, or..."Spirit"? We were at the "Spirit of the Entrepreneur" event, after all~
