One of downtown New Albany's popular eateries began life as an antique store that offered a few simple sandwiches, a soda fountain and some ice cream has, under new ownership, expanded its culinary options. Angela and Mike Kirk, owners of U.S. Lawns landscaping company, purchased Vintage Market last October from Sandra Wilson, who opened the shop in September 2014.

One pair of twin brothers in Union County stand as a testament to friendship and the power of community support, through the aid of a New Albany family and business. Parker and Preston Richardson recently completed an apprentice program at Windham Body Shop after being taken in by Robbie and Teresa Windham during a period of hardship in their youth. The twins were somewhat abandoned by their mother, who chose a dark lifestyle, and a father who was never in the picture.
