IntroductionAustralia’s National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) provides biennial primary screening for colorectal cancer (CRC). Since 2006, Australians aged 50–74 years have been invited to participate in the NBCSP using an immunochemical faecal occult blood test (iFOBT) via the national postal service (Nickson et al., 2023).
