Mr Boddington first took the Ludlow North seat on Shropshire Council in 2014, winning it for the Lib Dems after Rosanna Taylor-Smith stood down. In Ludlow East, town Mayor Beverley Waite has taken the ward for the Lib Dems. She follows on from fellow Lib Dem Tracey Huffer, who did not stand in this election.

    Justin Bowen has won the Tenbury seat for Reform. (Image: NQ) REFORM has taken the Tenbury County Councillor seat, with the new councillor expressing his shock at his election. Worcestershire went to the polls yesterday to elect 57 councillors, with votes for the 10 divisions in the county being counted at the Guildhall today. Reform candidate Justin Bowen has won the seat for Tenbury, with 1198 votes.  "I'm slightly shocked but very happy.

    Arrest made in Shrewsbury murder investigation (Image: Newsquest) A man has been arrested following the death of a 35-year-old man in Shrewsbury. Officers were called to a property on Lambourn Drive at 23.58pm last night (Thursday 1 May). A man had suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Earlier today, (Friday 2 May) a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.

    A police car (Image: NORTHUMBRIA POLICE) A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 35-year-old man in Shrewsbury. Officers were called to a property on Lambourn Drive just before midnight (1 May) following a report of a man suffering from what is thought to be knife wounds. On arrival it was found that the man had sustained serious injuries and despite the best efforts by emergency workers, sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.
