HE COULD have signed for Ally McCoist after flying 5,500 miles around the world for a trial at Rangers. And 13 years later, at the ripe old age of 40, he's STILL showing Super Ally what he's missing. Despite hanging up his boots last summer, Indian striker Sunil Chhetri was back on international duty this week, and back among the goals in a 3-0 win over The Maldives. WHAT Rangers fans would give for some last day drama in the Scottish top flight title race this season. And the same outcome of course. Some 22 years ago, current Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was a young midfield maestro - and struck the decisive penalty against Dunfermline to seal Rangers' 50th league triumph in dramatic scenes at Ibrox. RANGERS legends Ally McCoist and Ian Durrant were a phenomenal partnership for more than a decade at Ibrox. The duo became the best of friends - and the best of team-mates - through the late-1980s and glory days in the 1990s. Whether they were on the pitch or off it - they were a force to be reckoned with. Together the midfielder and goal-scorer extraordinaire teamed up an astonishing 227 times on the pitch at both Gers and Kilmarnock and picked up 33 trophies between them.
