AbstractDNA rearrangements are thought to arise from two classes of processes. The first class involves DNA breakage and fusion (cut-and-paste) without net DNA gain or loss. The second class involves aberrant DNA replication (copy-and-paste) and can produce either net DNA gain or loss.
