This was my first wide-angle lens for the Leica M11. Having previously shot exclusively with Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras, transitioning to a 21mm lens on a full-frame sensor seemed like a logical choice. Additionally, the Super-Elmar's price was appealing. Although it lacks the vibrant punch of the Summilux 21mm, the primary compromise is its maximum aperture of f/3.4.Given my passion for shallow depth of field in photography, this lens required me to rethink my approach.

To reproduce, male smallmouth bass build nests and then court and spawn with females. Whereas females leave their broods after spawning, the males remain for the next 4–6 weeks to protect their offspring. The overall number of offspring that survive is directly correlated with the number of males that successfully complete their brood defense.
