Dear EditorI am a keen parkrunner and thoroughly enjoy the sense of community and camaraderie created by all the local enthusiasts who volunteer and encourage sprinters, runners, trotters and walkers to complete the 5k course each week. Dear EditorIn his reply to the item about the MHRA's warning on finasteride adverse effects, Peter Selley reports that 70,000 prescriptions for seven tablets of finasteride 5mg are dispensed across NHS England each month. He speculates that this may represent considerable use of NHS resources for male pattern hair loss if patients are receiving an NHS prescription for 5mg tablets and then splitting each tablet into four parts.
