JOHN McGINN gave Aston Villa a stunning lifeline with his wondergoal against PSG. Then he was hooked by Unai Emery 10 minutes later. Scotland hero McGinn, 30, put in a captain's performance at Villa Park and did his best to try and overturn last week's 3-1 defeat in Paris. It looked as if the English side's fate had already been settled tonight though as they fell another TWO goals behind early doors, with Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes' both scoring to make it FIVE on aggregate.

YOU could hear the champagne corks popping at Parkhead. One hundred and fifty miles away at Pittodrie, Aberdeen were two goals and a man to the good. Even after Rangers had pulled one back, Celtic were just 30 SECONDS away from officially being crowned champions. But deep into stoppage time Ianis Hagi stepped up to put the title celebrations on hold and give Gers a massive shot in the arm ahead of Thursday’s do-or-die Europa League clash in Spain.
