    Sarasota Opera has received a $50,000 grant from the Selby Foundation to assist in purchasing seven new pianos. The funds will help Sarasota Opera procure three baby grand pianos and four upright pianos. Per a press release, two of the three new instruments will replace several that have been damaged by humidity and two decades of usage. Set to take place at Borelli’s Pizzeria until July 2, the showcase will feature a cast of six rotating performers from a roster of 18 as they improvise a 33-minute opera based on a single audience suggestion.
