Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood's biggest stars of the 1980s and 90s has died at the age of 65. He was famous for his roles in blockbuster movies like Top Gun, the Doors and Batman Forever...but also won plaudits for some memorable supporting roles. Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer more than a decade ago. But his daughter has confirmed he died from pneumonia.

NASA is preparing to undock Boeing's beleaguered "Starliner" spacecraft from the International Space Station and bring it back to Earth without any astronauts onboard. When Starliner arrived at the space station in June, problems were detected with the vessel, and now Nasa has decided it can't be completely confident Starliner can bring the crew back safely.
