Suspected Russian hackers are posting data stolen from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on the dark web, according to Aviation Managing Director Lance Lyttle. Lyttle testified today before the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, which is chaired by U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA). Lyttle said the hacker group Rhysida stole the data during a widely publicized cyberattack in August that resulted in the shutdown of some airport systems.

Lou Whittaker on Mount Rainier, which he climed hundreds of times. He died this week. He was 95. Wikimedia Commons Lou Whittaker, a mountain climber, guide and identical twin to Jim Whittaker, the first American to climb Mount Everest, died this week. He was 95. Whittaker summited Mount Rainier first when he was 16, and then more than 250 times throughout his lifetime.

From now until Sept. 13, wheeled vehicles, including bikes and scooters, are not allowed on the ferry, and half the sailings are canceled. The restrictions were met with some frustration and confusion Thursday morning.
