KUOW-FM 94.9 is a member of National Public Radio located in Seattle, Washington. It ranks among the top NPR stations in the United States and is one of only two stations serving the Seattle/Tacoma media market. Although it is affiliated with the University of Washington, the station is run by KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio, a nonprofit community organization. Its studios are situated on University Way in Seattle's University District, while the transmitter can be found on Capitol Hill.
