A narrow band of territory that separates two enemies whose war against each other never technically ended, the Demilitarised Zone is considered one of the most dangerous places in the world. Just 4 kilometres wide, the heavily fortified DMZ was established at the end of the Korean War in 1953 following three years of brutal fighting between the North and the South. Relatively untouched by humans, the area offers an abundance of nature.

While its northern rival has a nuclear vessel at its disposal, South Korea is relying on another strategy to scare its neighbours: an elite special forces operation unit trained to work behind enemy lines. If its members were called up for duty, their job would be to target Kim Jong Un's regime and the vital infrastructure that supports it. The special team has been dubbed the "decapitation unit", but despite what the name suggests, its job does not literally involve cutting off Kim's head.
