After Hightown ended abruptly on Starz, its creator, Rebecca Cutter, was set to continue her relationship with the network with a new show, The Hunting Wives. It has been in development since 2023, but after production wrapped up, there was no news. Deadline reports that The Hunting Wives is now moving from Starz to Netflix and will premiere in the US on July 21.

The upcoming series, created by The Office showrunner Greg Daniels, carries the same beats as the massively popular Steve Carell-led series. The Paper is made in the same documentary style as its predecessor featured and details a dying Midwestern newspaper. Domhnall Gleeson was cast in the lead role as the newspaper's boss.
