1 INTRODUCTION Anxiety disorders are among the most prevalent mental health issues (COVID-19 Mental Disorders Collaborators, 2021). These disorders are characterized by excessive and persistent worries that significantly disrupt daily life, often resulting in profound avoidance behaviors, distress in social settings, and impaired occupational functioning (Craske et al., 2011; Mah et al., 2016; Olatunji, 2019; Santomauro et al., 2021).

AbstractIt has been well documented in the literature that parental cognitions contribute in central ways to child development and adjustment. Nevertheless, there are no other questionnaires in the Spanish context that measure parents’ perceptions toward their adolescent children’s efficacy. This study aims to develop and validate a new scale to measure parents’ perceptions toward their adolescent children’s efficacy.

The current study utilized the Delphi expert consensus approach to culturally tailor guidelines for community members who wish to offer mental health first aid to individuals at risk of suicide in Chile and Argentina. This was achieved through a two-round Delphi survey that engaged mental health professionals, individuals with personal lived experiences, and informal caregivers. The final guidelines comprised 189 statements endorsed by both panels.
