Guardian Media understands that Ayers-Caesar took up duties in the Judiciary last month, weeks after the United Kingdom-based Privy Council delivered judgment in the final appeal of her lawsuit over being pressured by Judicial and Legal Services Commission (JLSC) and its chairman, Chief Justice Ivor Archie, into resigning almost eight years ago.

A 37-year-old man from Freeport has been freed of having sex with a teenager. The man, whose identity was withheld based on the nature of the case and its eventual outcome, was acquitted of the sexual penetration of a minor charge at the end of his judge-alone trial before Justice Lisa Ramsumair-Hinds on Monday. He was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl in a guest house in Chase Village in January, last year.

Delivering a decision after submissions from lawyers for the companies at the Waterfront Judicial Centre, yesterday morning, Justice Frank Seepersad upheld their application to register the award granted by the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in 2019.
