Trinidad and Tobago Guardian

The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian, along with its Sunday edition, holds the title of the oldest daily newspaper in Trinidad and Tobago, with its inaugural issue released on Sunday, September 2, 1917. Currently published by Guardian Media Limited, the paper originally started as a broadsheet but transitioned to a tabloid format in November 2002, referred to as the "G-sized Guardian." In June 2008, it adopted a smaller tabloid size. The main headquarters of the Guardian is situated on St. Vincent Street in Port of Spain, while it also has a branch office on Chancery Lane in San Fernando, and its Head office is located at 4-10 Rodney Road in Chaguanas. The newspaper marked its centenary on September 2, 2017, and just a few days later, on September 11, 2017, it introduced a new layout. Its motto is "The Guardian of Democracy."
