Casey Hood has seen quite a bit of success so far this season as a short-distance sprinter for the Indiana State track team during both the indoor season and the early stages of the outdoor season. The Columbia, Missouri, native who attended Rock Bridge High School is coming off an 11th-place finish last month in the 60-meter dash at the 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. Hood finished the race in 6.59 seconds.

Former Indiana State guard Josiah LeGree is transferring to Morehead State, an Ohio Valley Conference, according to VerbalCommits.com, a college basketball website. Former Indiana State men's basketball player Ryan Conwell, a 6-foot-4 guard and native of Indianapolis, is heading to Louisville for his senior year after visiting the university Tuesday, according to the Louisville Courier Journal. The announcement came Tuesday night by CAA Basketball's NIL Division to ESPN. Louisville will become Conwell's fourth school in as many seasons. Before Xavier, he played at South Florida as a freshman in 2022-23 and Indiana State as a sophomore in 2023-24.

The Indiana State football team began its spring practices Tuesday with the addition of a new coach in special-teams coordinator Brad Jarman.
