Casey Hood has seen quite a bit of success so far this season as a short-distance sprinter for the Indiana State track team during both the indoor season and the early stages of the outdoor season. The Columbia, Missouri, native who attended Rock Bridge High School is coming off an 11th-place finish last month in the 60-meter dash at the 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. Hood finished the race in 6.59 seconds.

Former Indiana State guard Josiah LeGree is transferring to Morehead State, an Ohio Valley Conference, according to VerbalCommits.com, a college basketball website. LeGree averaged 3.5 points a game in his freshman season this past year. The Indiana State softball team split its doubleheader Tuesday afternoon against Missouri Valley Conference foe Evansville, winning 5-3 and losing 6-0. In the first game, Indiana State scored two in the first before the Aces took the lead with three in the third, but the Sycamores fought back as they plated three in the bottom of the sixth to take the game 5-3.

The Rose-Hulman Engineers baseball team split its Monday doubleheader against the Hanover College Panthers, dropping the first 5-3 contest before grabbing a 6-1 win at Art Nehf Field. “I think it starts on the mound,” RHIT coach Adam Rosen said.
