    HUNTINGTON- Rezoning several parcels in the West End to accommodate the city's proposed low-barrier shelter is on the agenda for Monday's Huntington City Council meeting. The council will hear the first reading of the ordinance during its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. The ordinance would rezone 96 3rd Ave. W., soon to be known as the Huntington Homelessness Services Hub or the Hub, and surrounding properties from I-2 Heavy Industrial District to I-1 Light Industrial District.

    HUNTINGTON — People gathered at Ritter Park Wednesday for a peaceful candlelight vigil to bring awareness to what impact proposed federal budget cuts will have on health care. Attendees shared stories and listened to music as they held signs and candles. The vigil took place near the home of Rep.     HUNTINGTON — No stranger to the devastating aftermath flooding can have on a community, one local organization is asking for donations to help flood victims in Ohio and Marion counties. The Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District (GHPRD) is collecting relief supplies until Thursday, July 3, to help counties build themselves back up after severe flooding over the weekend. Sydney DeVaney, recreation coordinator for GHPRD, is coordinating the donation drive.
