Former Marshall basketball players Mikel Beyers and Jarrod West will be playing in the TBT, but they will not be playing for Herd That. West will instead play for Best Virginia, the WVU alumni-based squad, for his father Jarrod West Sr., who will be head coach. West Jr. played collegiately at both Marshall and Louisville and has played for Herd That in recent renditions of the TBT. West Sr. was the first-ever Best Virginia head coach when it made its first appearance back in 2019.
