For the 2025-26 season, Syracuse and the rest of the ACC will be switching to an 18-game conference schedule. The ACC made the official announcement on Wednesday. It will be the first time the Orange will play 18 conference games instead of 20 games since the 2018-19 season.

Mark Konezny-Imagn Images Former Syracuse Orange men’s basketball coach and Hall of Famer Jim Boeheim will be back on the sidelines with a special title for his upcoming role for this year’s TBT. In a special announcement that came Wednesday, Boeheim was named “Head Coach Emeritus” for Boeheim’s Army. Boeheim will be helping guide the team carrying his name as they hope to get back to the TBT championship for the first time since 2021.

Mark Konezny-Imagn Images Two well-known Syracuse Orange men’s basketball alumni and TBT veterans will officially be returning to Boeheim’s Army for this year’s tournament. Chris McCullough and Rakeem Christmas will be joining Boeheim’s Army and competing in the 2025 TBT, which will be taking place during the summer. McCullough served a key role on the 2021 roster for Boeheim’s Army, which went on to win its only TBT championship.

Carmelo Anthony will be a part of NBC Sports’ NBA coverage. The announcement came during the Kentucky Derby this past weekend that Anthony will serve as a studio analyst when the NBA returns to NBC. Anthony joins NBC Sports after the network signed a new media rights deal with the NBA last fall.
