Formula E’s Miami E-Prix showcased a first-of-its-kind car swap, in which rising NASCAR racer Rajah Caruth and open-wheel regular Jamie Chadwick switched seats. Caruth, fresh from his ninth-place finish in the Camping World Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night, transitioned to a whole new world when he got behind the wheel of a Formula E car for a brief venture on track, his first time in an open-wheel car, let alone an electric machine.

To lose a race win through no fault of your own would be crushing for many, but Norman Nato left Homestead-Miami Speedway in a positive mood despite being dealt the cruelest of hands. The Nissan driver won the Miami E-Prix on the road, having started from pole, then holding off reigning series champion Pascal Wehrlein in an intense charge to the finish line. But a late-race red flag meant that he wasn’t left with enough time to completely use his Attack Mode.

Lola’s return to motorsport reached a new high point on Saturday at the Miami E-Prix with its maiden Formula E podium, courtesy of Lucas di Grassi. The second-place finish for the Brazilian at Homestead-Miami Speedway wasn’t just the revived brand’s first rostrum appearance, but its first points too – and marked the first time since the 2023-23 season opener that Season 3 Formula E champion di Grassi had finished on the podium. “It’s a very special podium for many reasons,” di Grassi said.
