Jake Hill secured pole position for the first of three British Touring Car Championship races on Brands Hatch’s Indy Circuit this weekend, beating teammate Charles Rainford in a tight qualifying session. West Surrey Racing BMW driver Hill set a best time of 46.493s in the final ‘Quick Six’ portion of qualifying, edging Rainford – who had topped Q2 – by just 0.021s.

Dan Ticktum downplayed comments he made about his team on the Formula E broadcast after he wasn’t able to use full power in his Quarter Final qualifying Duel in the second race of the Monaco E-Prix. Cupra Kiro’s driver went head-to-head with Nyck de Vries in the Duels portion of qualifying, but didn’t have access to the full complement of 350kW during his fast lap, handing an easy win to de Vries.
