In our instant-gratification-driven age, anticipation is a rare commodity. We expect responses to our messages instantly; deliveries at our door by end of day; our dopamine hits on repeat. But travel may be one of the few remaining areas where we accept a measure of deferred pleasure. Bucket lists are created over the course of a lifetime; special occasions marked by trips that can take months to plan.

An overzealous animation team, daily Zumba classes by the pool, and one cavernous all-day dining restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner and “evening entertainment”. Play areas, children everywhere – and water slides. So many water slides. But I take my duties as fun Auntie Selina pretty seriously.
