VENICE, Fla. (SNN) — It may not be the “World’s Largest Cocktail Party” of UF vs UGA fame, but this one is growing bigger every year, putting smiles on hundreds of kids’ faces. The 3rd Annual “Cocktail Party on the Diamond” was held Saturday, Feb. 1, in Venice to raise money for the Venice Challenger Baseball League. The league gives kids and adults with disabilities a place to play baseball.

VENICE, Fla. (SNN) — When you win, the awards and accolades follow. So, it is for the Venice Indians 2024 State Championship football team. Head Coach John Peacock has been named the State 7A State Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year for the 2024 season which ended with a 52-19 win over Lake Mary in Miami last month. It is Peacock’s third state title in the 18 seasons since he took over the program.
