    A Waasis man caught at the wheel of a stolen Audi A4 told police he’d bought it for $2,000 from a guy in Saint John whose name he couldn’t remember, court heard Tuesday. Anthony Shane O’Blenis, 27, of Route 655, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday afternoon for sentencing on offences dating back to late 2023 and earlier 2024. He’d previously pleaded guilty to Nov. 11, 2023, counts of possessing a stolen car and driving while suspended, and to a Feb.

    The Mounties are investigating a break, enter and theft at a summer property in Magaguadavic last week, and they’re hoping the public can help to identify the perpetrators. The Nackawic detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Tuesday afternoon about an offence in the early-morning hours of May 7 in Magaguadavic, about 65 kilometres southwest of Fredericton.

Today’s Homes Ltd. - which does business as Northrup Homes - was back on the Fredericton provincial court docket Monday to answer to two charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

    An Upper River Valley man was in court last week to face allegations of assault and sexual assault at two different times in two different locations near Fredericton, but involving the same complainant. Lane Leo Lewis, 24, of Route 109 in Craig Flats, located about 80 kilometres north of Woodstock, appeared in Fredericton provincial court on May 6 for his first appearance on two charges.
