    A new court date has been set for one of two men, facing kidnapping and drug trafficking charges. Last July, Mounties searched a business in Yorkton as part of a drug trafficking investigation. They then searched a rural property south of the city, and located a severely injured, forcibly confined man inside a barn. 46-year-old Ryan Langford of Yorkton appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court today (Fri), where he was remanded in custody to August 25.

    By Doug Falconer A Dauphin man arrested on an outstanding warrant, has appeared in court again. Dauphin RCMP were on patrol June 12, when they spotted 34-year-old Kyle Sutherland, and he was arrested without incident. A search of Sutherland allegedly turned up a large amount of cash, along with crystal meth. In Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Thu), he was remanded in custody to next Thursday.

    A new court date has been set for a Wynyard man, arrested in connection with a drug and weapon bust. On March 12, Mounties conducted a traffic stop in Wynyard, and searched the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen from Calgary. Police say they seized 132 grams of crystal meth, 162 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, 19 packs of unstamped tobacco, brass knuckles, and identification that didn't belong to the suspect.

    Three of four people arrested in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Yorkton, have appeared in court again. On June 16, police pulled over a vehicle on Highway 10, just south of Yorkton, and arrested the male driver. The same day, Mounties executed search warrants at two homes in Yorkton, and arrested two more men, while a woman was arrested three days later. Mounties say they seized 1177 grams of cocaine, nearly 76-thousand dollars in cash, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
