PSG secured the top spot in Group B by defeating Seattle, 2-0, on Monday combined with Atletico Madrid defeating Botafogo, 1-0, in Pasadena, Calif. Miami finished in second in Group A after Palmeiras scored two late goals against it to secure a 2-2 draw on Monday. PSG is one of the world's richest clubs.

Atlanta United midfielder Jay Fortune will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken bone in his left foot while playing with Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday, manager Ronny Deila said Monday. The injury happened in the 76th minute of Sunday’s Gold Cup match, when Fortune was pulled down by a Saudi Arabian player. Fortune had 15 appearances, including eight starts, with one goal, for Atlanta United.

Dominating with set pieces, Manchester City dispatched Al Ain 6-0 in their Club World Cup match group stage match on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. City’s goals were scored by Ilkay Gündoğan, Claudio Echeverri and Erling Haaland in the first half. Gündoğan added another in the second half. Oscar Bobb and Rayan Cherki scored City’s last two. The win ensured that Manchester City will advance out of its group along with co-leaders Juventus. The two teams will play their Group G finale on Thursday.
