Pedro Amador returning to Atlanta United’s starting lineup has resulted in an increase in attacks down the team’s left side. Before Amador returned to the starting lineup April 12 against New England, 36% of the team’s goals came from the left side of the field. The goal percentage has increased to 42% in the four matches since. Atlanta United has scored 12 goals — two were own-goals and another came from a penalty kick. Atlanta United broke its scoreless streak with a goal that was important for two players, but it couldn’t get a victory, settling for a 1-1 draw with Nashville on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Miguel Almiron’s goal in the first half broke the franchise-record scoreless streak at 363 minutes. It was negated by a Nashville goal from a corner kick in the second half as the visitors dominated after Atlanta United’s opener. “After the goal, we start to be more passive,” manager Ronny Deila said.
