It’s been four years since Grace Herbert first pitched Rising the idea of an art exhibition inspired by minigolf. Now the senior curator’s dream is finally becoming a reality, with Swingers: The Art of Mini Golf set to open on June 4 at the legendary Flinders Street Station ballroom. “It’s basically a playable exhibition, or an exhibition masquerading as a minigolf course,” Herbert explains. The idea is to honour minigolf’s little-known feminist origin story.
