    The excitement around HP’s new warranty-backed refurbished PCs is “palpable”, its Northwest Europe MD Neil Sawyer claimed as he revealed the two ways it will take the new offering to market. HP earlier this month rolled its portfolio of certified refurbished PCs to the UK under the HP Renew banner. The PCs come with a one-year warranty and can be recognised by the addition of an “R” to the HP product number.

    LIMA has kickstarted an M&A hunt after “redesigning” its business to focus on recurring services rather than infrastructure refresh, its CEO has revealed. Backed by Maven Capital since 2019, LIMA serves organisations with 250-750 network users in the legal, professional services, accountancy and healthcare sectors. Under CEO Danny Masters, who joined in late 2022, LIMA has grown recurring revenues as a percentage of its overall business from around 40% to 80%.

    Westcon-Comstor has pocketed a 90% share of AWS Marketplace’s new distribution programme, its new European boss claimed as he discussed its burgeoning success with CrowdStrike and Z-Scaler and the future of distribution. Rene Klein was put in charge of Westcon-Comstor’s entire $2.25bn-revenue European business in March. Cisco-dedicated arm Comstor generates around 35-40% of the total, with cybersecurity and networking arm Westcon – which Klein already ran – contributing the remainder.

    Advania UK will “not be throwing the baby out with the bathwater” on 4 August when it rebrands recent acquisitions CCS Media and Servium, its CEO has asserted. A new UK MSP-reseller powerhouse was born last year when Advania UK – known for its prowess as a Microsoft-focused MSP – snapped up first Servium, and then CCS Media. The enlarged business employs 1,600 staff across 20 locations, and boasts runrate revenues of around £470m.

I see lots of people calling out firms for poor customer service on here. So it's only right that I call out @thetrainline for the opposite. They gave me a full refund on the (non-refundable) tickets I bought to get to a funeral that was subsequently postponed. Thank you! 👏👏

Attempts to get the boy into 90s music by stealth, via watching repeats of Trigger Happy TV, backfired. The one song he singled out (and is now playing upstairs on repeat) is the decidedly 70s 'If You Could Read My Mind' by Gordon Lightfoot
