Distology’s CEO says she’s “more ambitious than ever” after overhauling its technology and sales strategy. The Stockport-based cyber VAD – which ranked 25th in Oxygen’s 50 Must-Know Distributors 2024 – will celebrate 10 years in business at its company-wide kick off tomorrow. Talking to IT Channel Oxygen ahead of the event, CEO Hayley Roberts revealed that Distology is poised to unveil a new technology strategy and begin tiering its vendors, and has also overhauled its sales model.

Pax8 is “absolutely in this to build a large-cap company”, CEO Scott Chasin has emphasised as he talked through its efforts to put clear water between itself and its peer group. The cloud commerce marketplace caused a stir last month when it ran a full-page advert in the New York Times goading TD Synnex and Ingram Micro for “selling the past”. Pax8 has declined to talk about the ad further, citing the logic that it spoke for itself.

Cyberfort’s desire to “pivot more towards the private sector” is a “big reason” behind its latest acquisition, its CEO has revealed. IT Channel Oxygen ran the poll in the wake of the cloud marketplace’s latest marketing stunt, in which it goaded the world’s two largest IT distributors TD Synnex and Ingram Micro. Entitled “They Were Wrong”, the advert – attributed to CEO Scott Chasin – argued that commentators had been wrong to position Pax8 as a distributor in its early days.

Saw a Conservative Party local election ad yesterday where they were trying to link Labour-run councils to higher crime. Ignoring the very basic fact that correlation does not imply causation. C'mon guys, it's basic statistics! https://t.co/1dK6LozKl3

I see lots of people calling out firms for poor customer service on here. So it's only right that I call out @thetrainline for the opposite. They gave me a full refund on the (non-refundable) tickets I bought to get to a funeral that was subsequently postponed. Thank you! 👏👏

Attempts to get the boy into 90s music by stealth, via watching repeats of Trigger Happy TV, backfired. The one song he singled out (and is now playing upstairs on repeat) is the decidedly 70s 'If You Could Read My Mind' by Gordon Lightfoot
