Roads have reopened after a serious crash at Templers on Wednesday night. Just before 6pm on Wednesday, emergency services were called to Horrocks Highway, Templers, to reports that a Holden sedan had collided with a truck. The driver of the car, a 39-year-old Willaston woman was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.

After a Tuk Tuk crash in the heart of India’s largest city left her seriously injured, South Australian expat Carolyn McKay, 55, has faced a nightmare road to recovery. Four weeks ago, on March 29, the former SA teacher who now lives in Sri Lanka was on her way through central New Delhi, when the Uber Tuk Tuk she was a passenger in ran a red light and crashed into a larger car. “The driver saw the car and tried to swerve, but it was too late,” she told The Advertiser.

I spent the morning before work cleaning out the house. I emptied the cupboards of old items that would never be used, said goodbye to some things I kept just in case and the case never came. I’m not sure why this morning was the one that triggered the courage to dump it all, but I guess I’m glad it came. I like to think I keep all these little trinkets to celebrate a moment or memory in time, but so many of them hurt to hold now.
