Native title holders in South Australia's Flinders Ranges have been allowed access to financial records showing how tens of millions of dollars in mining royalties have been spent, after the state's Supreme Court upheld an earlier ruling. Members of the Adnyamathanha Traditional Lands Association (ATLA) have been locked in a years-long legal battle for access to the books of a "master trust" that had been used to distribute uranium mining royalties.

Former South Australian opposition leader David Speirs has pleaded guilty to two drug supply charges. Mr Speirs, 40, entered his pleas in person in a brief Adelaide Magistrates Court hearing on Thursday. The court heard the defence and prosecution had come to an agreement that the matter would be dealt with by a magistrate, and it has been listed for sentencing submissions in April. Mr Speirs pleaded guilty to two counts of supplying or administering a drug that wasn't cannabis to another person.
