For those of you who don’t know all the weird “Waypoint Nuances” (which I imagine is 99.9% of you), there’s been a war brewing between Croc and Gex for months. Anthony and Shaun are what I’d like to call “Gex Sympathizers.” They love the green, smarmy bastard. Meanwhile, in my eyes? Croc is the best boy. But, I made a terrible miscalculation recently. So, as an honorable man, I’m writing this article to announce that I’m going to give the incoming Gex Trilogy a try. Let’s backtrack just a bit.

I may have accidentally manifested Nintendo’s recent villain arc, y’all. But, in my defense, I was just talking about Super Mario Party Jamboree. I didn’t think that Doug Bowser was gonna effectively call everyone who couldn’t afford the Nintendo Switch 2 a brokie. Or that they would charge $10 for the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. …Right, and the “Well, obviously, you’re paying $80 for the ol’ Nintendo quality!” debacle.

If I had to use a single word to sum up my feelings about the Outlast franchise, it’d be “Complicated.” I actually had a less favorable opinion of the first Outlast game when it came out than I currently do. Back then, it did feel cheap and unnecessary. Until I actually gave it a chance years later, was enthralled by the lore, and was excited for Outlast 2!Which I’m more “Neutral” on regarding my opinion of it. Outlast, you see, may not have pioneered the found-footage horror subgenre in gaming.

“Whoa,” the executives at Nintendo said following the anger online over the revelation that games for the Nintendo Switch 2 could cost as much as $80. “We know you’re upset. Sensitive economic times and all. But, hear us out. There’s a reason you’ll be paying that much for Mario Kart World and the special Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Tears of the Kingdom.
