A magistrate has chastised a mother for asking not to be convicted after admitting to smacking her 14-year-old daughter multiple times across the face. The disturbing assault occurred after the Illawarra woman returned home and became enraged her daughter had not completed “just two little jobs”. The woman in her 30s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the day of a hearing in Wollongong Local Court last week.
