Illawarra Mercury
The Illawarra Mercury is a newspaper that comes out from Monday to Friday, with a special weekend edition released on Saturdays. It is based in Wollongong, the third largest city in New South Wales, Australia. This publication has a long history, dating back to 1855, which makes it one of the oldest newspapers in Australia and the second oldest regional paper in New South Wales. Since December 1949, it has been published every day and has faced no local daily competition since the 1960s. The paper maintains a close connection with the Illawarra community.
