St George Mining is advancing its Araxá niobium-rare earths project in Brazil at a critical time for global supply chains. This follows recent restrictions imposed by China on exports for rare earth elements and permanent magnets. The company recently announced a maiden JORC resource of 40.64 million tonnes at 4.13 per cent total rare earth oxides (TREO), positioning Araxá as "a globally significant resource with development studies underway".

Liebherr-Australia has commissioned five PR 776 dozers for Northern Star Resources, which is around a third of the 13 new machines set to arrive. This is the first delivery at the Super Pit gold mine in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, part of a 13-machine deal that will significantly bolster operations. The delivery is part of a rollout that will see seven PR 776 dozers, five R 9150 excavators, and one R 9400 excavator commissioned across 2025.

By contrast, Bitcoin is down more than 11 per cent ytd. The divergence ends a period of strong correlation between the two assets, which had moved in near-lockstep from late 2022 to 2024.

For 65 student-athletes, however, a daunting multitasking effort was on the horizon. The 2023 Pace Baseball and Women’s Lacrosse programs were deep into postseason competition. The baseball team was in the NE-10 Championship. They wanted to reach the final weekend. Women’s lacrosse was #2 in the country.
