Over the course of a track and field season, there are meets where top athletes, ones who are competing for state titles, don’t see much competition. They take part in events where the result isn’t in question, and it becomes more of a practice or warmup. That isn’t the case for Lebanon High twins Taryn and Teagan Cornell. Oregon State baseball traveled to the Midwest and came back without a loss, setting the stage for an important final week of the regular season. The Beavers took the first two games of their series against Iowa, winning 9-6 Friday and 5-1 Saturday. Freshman Adam Haight got two starts at DH, the first action at the plate this year for the two-way player. And maybe most notable was the change to the pitching rotation to begin the series.
