    Judge Michael Flannelly will succeed Judge Maria Musti Cook as president judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas in January, according to a news release. Flannelly has served on the court, off and on, since 2012, the year he was appointed by former Gov. Tom Corbett to the bench. He left the judiciary in 2014 and then won election to a full 10-year term in 2015, returning to the court in January 2016.

    It's time to find the YAIAA boys volleyball champ. Because a singular champ wasn't determined in the regular season. Northeastern handed Central York a late loss to drop the Panthers into a tie with York Suburban at 12-1. They are the top two seeds in the YAIAA boys volleyball tournament, and earned a bye in the quarterfinals. Two quarterfinal matches will be played May 12, with the semifinals on May 13 and final on May 14. All matches will be played at Central York. Here is a look at the schedule.
