Junior Aaryan Sharma hovers over the top of the ski hill, the landscape around him devoid of people. As he glides down the mountain toward the end of the run, an overwhelming sense of freedom enters his body. Arriving at his destination, the ski resort, once bustling with life and laughter, is now just as peaceful and cold as the mountain he came from. With the rest of the skiers packing into their cars to drive home, Sharma enjoys a moment of silence.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, sophomore and setter Kylee Mark made her mark on the court at the Varsity Girls Volleyball CCS Championship game against Aragon High School. During the game, MVHS quickly took the lead, setting a swift pace while Mark continued to set ball after ball. Unknowingly, one of those sets turned out to be an incredible accomplishment: her 1,000th career assist. “I don’t remember which point exactly, but I knew I was close before the game,” Mark said.

Tyler, the Creator delivers his most personal and vibrant record yet “Can you feel that light, inside? / Can you feel that fire?” — St. ChromaSet in a rustic, black-and-white video, viewers witnessed artist Tyler, the Creator lead a series of soldiers into a cargo box labeled “Chromakopia” with lyrics being chanted in the background. Tyler then detonated the box on an energetic beat drop, converting the video to color and setting the stage for his next studio album.

Trump 5/10 In an interview with CNN at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Trump made several controversial statements regarding various political situations. Trump claimed that he deserved the credit for overturning Roe v. Wade, that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen from him and he advocated to pardon the individuals imprisoned as a result of the United States Capitol attack.

Cupertino residents and organizations gather at the Civic Center Plaza EE: The City of Cupertino held the 11th annual Fall Bike Fest on Saturday, Sept. 28. At 9 a.m., booth owners set up a variety of different stations, and volunteers helped run throughout the event. From blending smoothies with bikes to creating wheel art, every booth played a key role in reducing energy consumption and informing both kids and adults on how to live a sustainable life, including the garbage sorting booth.

On March 12, the election of former HR Director Paula Robinson to the position of FUHSD assistant superintendent triggered a domino effect of hires. Former HHS principal Greg Giglio took the newly-vacant position of HR Director, and was replaced by former Data and Assessment coordinator Denae Nurnberg, whose vacancy eventually led to former MVHS assistant principal Nico Flores taking the assistant principal position at HHS.
