French gameshow format Werewolves (aka Loups-Garous) is being adapted by ITV Studios for German public broadcasters BR and ARD. Originally airing on French pay TV broadcaster Canal+, Werewolves is based on a 20-year-old French card game called Les Loups-Garous De Thiercelieux (The Werewolves of Millers Hollow). The game was itself based on a Russian deduction game called Mafia.

Tubi, the AVoD platform owned by Fox Corporation, has inked a partnership with Globo, Brazil’s largest content producer, to bring a slate of Brazilian telenovelas to viewers in Mexico. The move forms part of Tubi’s strategy to bolster its offering in Latin America with culturally resonant content. The initial rollout includes titles such as The Life We Lead, Sweet Diva, Celebrity and Precious Pearl, the latter having won an International Emmy award.

European studio Vuelta Group has continued its expansion across the continent, with its German operations completing a significant phase of integration and transformation, and its German CEO exiting to focus on production. Al Munteanu, previously CEO of Vuelta Germany, has stepped away from his executive role to assume ownership of Vuelta subsidiary SquareOne Entertainment’s production arm SquareOne Productions, which is now rebranded as BriskPace Studios.
